There is no question that Zarqawi is dead. The only question is when. Zarqawi was apparently killed in an attack last year that targeted someone else. "Credit" wasn't claimed for Zarqawi's death then because his continuing role as a bogeyman was perceived as useful to the Bush Regime. Now that it has been recognized that Zarqawi is responsible for a drop in Bush's poll numbers, the corpse had to be thawed and "extracted" from the "safe house". Which explains the startlingly intact body that remains after not one, but two 500 pound bombs blew up that house and which explains why it was necessary to make the claim that he survived the attack for 10 minutes (which is probably what really did happen, only last year). No one has yet explained why the US didn't want today to storm the safe house today to capture alive Zarqawi and his 7 major lieutenants to be tortured into revealing their armaments, locations, personnel, etc. The official story sucks.
