Communiqué from the Clandestine Revolutionary Indigenous Committee of the Zapatista Army of National Liberation
Mexico.
June 20, 2005
To the People of Mexico:
To the Peoples of the World:
Brothers and Sisters:
First and Only - We are informing you that, since the middle of 2002, the EZLN has been engaged in a process of reorganizing its political-military structure. This internal reorganization has now been completed.
We have the necessary conditions in place to survive an attack or enemy action that would do away with our current leadership or which would attempt to annihilate us completely.
The chains of command and the succession of responsibilities have been clearly established, as well as those actions and measures to be taken in the event of being attacked by government forces and their paramilitaries.
The CCRI-CG of the EZLN is letting it be known that conditions are in place to continue leading the zapatista struggle even if it were to lose – be it through jail, through death or through forced disappearance – some or all of its publicly known current leadership.
That is all.
Democracy!
Liberty!
Justice!
From the Mountains of the Mexican Southeast.
By the Clandestine Revolutionary Indigenous Committee – General Command of the Zapatista Army of National Liberation.
Subcomandante Insurgente Marcos
Mexico, in the sixth month of the year 2005. |

I wish the Zapatistas, and all of the oppressed, ..., in our world success in achieving the recognition they all deserve. "Long live human rights and dignity", yes, but for those to live long, well, they have to first cease to be oppresssed, ...; and that does not seem to be an easy outcome, being awfully difficult to get to.
This short article of notice was obtained from the following article:
"Mexico: The False Narco-Smear Against the Zapatistas", June 22, 2005,
http://narcosphere.narconews.com/story/2005/6/22/124158/124 .
It is known well enough that governments are extremely fascistic, whether it be religiously or corporatistly, or both at the same time, as certainly seems to be the present cases in the USA and some other countries; yes, it is well enough known, and very obvious. However, it is rather astounding that governments can be as extremely corrupt, deceitful, and so on, as we have in our world.
And the fact that religious institutions, very much in terms of churches, remain as rather permanently silent and thus far too complicit with all of this hell-bent imperialism, ..., only makes the whole reality all the worse. Churches whine over insignificant matters like the use of safe artificial contraception, and scream "bloody murder" with respect to abortions, while remaining extremely silent with respect to entirely unjustifiable and criminal wars of aggression and fascistic imperialism, which much worse than even medically unwarranted abortions are; all while contraceptives, the use thereof, is rather [totally] insignifcant. In so doing, acting and speaking, churches of this likeness, and of which there are too many, well, they render themselves very unappealing, and despicable, for they're here/there-by basically just siding with the hell-bent hegemons and hypocrites of our world.
Them and the governments combine for an only ever fuller imperialism over and oppressing, ..., humanity, and human rights and dignity.
May God and Heaven please be [with] the Plighted peoples of our world, and long live human rights and dignity. It is very refreshing to read about the Zapatista movement. They apparently will continue to be atrociously oppressed, ..., but [True] human spirit they [definitely] illustrate.
Long live human rights and dignity!
