Comandante Zebedeo Hermanas y hermanos del mundo: En nombre de nuestro Ejército Zapatista de Liberación Nacional, doy lectura a este comunicado. Después de los tantos rumores de que el EZLN ya se acabó, aquí estamos otra vez en la misma lucha, mejorando los caminos de la resistencia. El pasado siglo veinte nos maquillaron al hacernos creer que pasaron los tiempos de la miseria, la pobreza, el paternalismo, la esclavitud y la santa inquisición. Hoy son los mismos dolores de la gran sociedad civil, vimos la llegada del siglo nuevo con el mismo contenido brutal del pasado. stos tiempos de la globalización están aplicando la nueva santa inquisición. Los pecados de los pueblos pobres estamos pagando con armas sofisticadas especialmente fabricadas para los que se rebelan contra los planes de la globalización, contra la invasión. Por esto pagamos todos, incluyendo niños y ancianos. la globalización mundial con su nuevo corte social es lo mismo si dijera la humillación mundial hacia los pueblos. La globalización con sus tratados de libre comercio, Organización Mundial de Comercio y la Alianza de Libre Comercio de América, son implementos y elementos por la extinsión del patrimonio de cada país, la soberanía y la cultura. Esta guerra, la amenza que hace mundialmente la globalización, ya no podemos hacernos el desentendido de que lo que se busca es la humillación de los pueblos. Esta situación fácil la puede entender hasta un niño. La consecuencia del mal o sea el parásito para la sociedad civil mundial es que cada día se ponen más pobres los pobres, nos vamos aumentando el número de millones de desempleados, mutilados de esperanza. Esta globalización ha sido gracias a su codicioso plan. Porque de ellos los pueblos del mundo están aprendiendo a luchar, a resitir y a organizarse para ponerle un alto a la dominación y la injusticia. Ya se lee y ya se ve en los pueblos del mundo que han dejado de ser espectadores. Conforme los tiempos pasan se van siendo actores importantes de construir un mundo en donde quepan muchos mundos. Como ya es sabido mundialmente la guerra de los malos gobiernos de la globalización ha llevado la muerte y la destrucción en un lugar del mundo, en un lugar que fue rico en cultura e historia de la humanidad. Allá, lejos de aquí, el pueblo iraquí ahora está demostrando que el asunto no es cambiar a los tiranos locales por tiranos extranjeros. Sino unir la democracia y la justicia con la libertad, la soberanía y la independencia. Resistiendo cada día, el pueblo iraquí derrumba la ya débil estatua del triunfo militar británico- estadounidense. También queremos repetir un saludo, que ya hemos dado antes y lo repito, a la lucha política y cultural del pueblo vasco. Cuando luego algunos periodistas echan su mentirita de que apoyamos ETA, como dijo un baboso que canta rock. Más ahora que cualquier persona de ese país es perseguida, hostigada y despreciada en cualquier parte del mundo. Sabemos que son tiempos difíciles para ese pueblo pero sabemos también que sabrán resistir y ser creativos para salir adelante. Nosotros no podemos hacer mucho pero también gritamos con esperanza el GORA EUSKAL HERRIA. Que el mundo sepa, ni siquiera en las prisiones y en las salas de tortura del gobierno español porque decimos bien fuerte. Para que lo escuche ese que ahora está de vacaciones de su trabajo de cerrar periódicos y de ilegalizar organizaciones políticas. Ya saben quien es. En estos momentos queremos mandar un saludo zapatista a los hermanos y hermanas en Francia que en estos momentos se encuentran reunidos en un lugar llamado Larzac en Francia. Hay ahí hermanos campesinos franceses que luchan contra la globalización, de los cultivos transgénicos y contra la guerra. Saludamos a los Colectivos Suroeste de solidaridad con Chiapas...... al Comité de apoyo a los pueblos de Chiapas, a la asociación Construir un Mundo Solidario, a la Confederación Campesina Nacional y todas las organizaciones que allá están reunidas. No sabemos si nos escuchan en este momento pero estoy seguro de que aunque estén tan lejos sentirán el abrazo que los más pequeños de sus hermanos, los zapatistas, les mandamos. Y más acá, al sur, de la Argentina digna, llegan vientos de apoyo y esperanza. A ellos respondemos con el humilde viento que somos y nuestro abrazo cruza la América Latina entera para nada más decir....... En el Caribe hay un pueblo que está en la mira de la conquista mundial, el pueblo cubano. Para ese pueblo va nuestra admiración y nuestro respeto. Que pequeños como somos, nada podemos hacer. Nosotros sabemos bien que los planes para atacar la isla de Cuba no son mentiras, pero tampoco es de mentiras la decisión de ese pueblo para resistir y decidir sin injerencias extranjeras su destino que no es otra cosa que la soberanía. Hermanos y hermanas: Hay en el mundo un país de gente noble y buena. En ese país también gobierna el mal pero abajo la dignidad rebelde habla italiano y piensa en cultura. Los mundos nuevos que allá y acá se construyen, aprenden juntos a decir fratelli y hermano que en italiano y castilla quieren decir lo mismo, o sea...... Y ahora queremos mandar un saludo especial al pueblo de norteamérica, al que se levantó de los escombros de las torres gemelas de Nueva York para oponerse a una guerra movida por interes económicos y escondida en el dolor y el coraje provocados por los atentados del 11 de septiermbre del 2001. Y queremos mandar un abrazo muy grande, tan grande como es nuestra esperanza, a los hermanos mexicanos que sufren y trabajan en tierra extranjera no porque quieran sino porque el despojo neoliberal los ha arrojado de su suelo. Salud pues a la sangre mexicana que late arriba del río Bravo. Queremos decir que en los próximos días habrá una reunión muy importante en Cancún, México. que también quisiéramos ir, a bañar también y a ver, todo está por verse. Y no nos referimos a la reunión de la Organización Mundial del Comercio, ese organismo que comanda la nueva guerra mundial contra la humanidad. No. Estamos hablando de la reunión que tendrán personas de todo el planeta para repetir el NO al mundo expluyente del dinero y afirmar que otro mundo es posible. Según sabemos, del 1 al 7 de septiembre habrá una reunión sobre medios y tecnologías alternativas, del 8 al 9 un Foro campesino y el día 9 de septiembre, o sea dentro de un mes, habrá movilizaciones en Cancún y en todo el mundo en contra de quienes se piensan los dueños del planeta. En septiembre, a Cancún y al mundo irá la palabra de los zapatistas, en modo y forma que estamos por decidir. Hermanos y hermanas: También queremos saludar y abrazar con especial cariño y admiración a todos los mundos que hay en el mundo. No conocemos los países pero conocemos a alguna gente de la que en ellos lucha. Y por sus palabras y por sus acciones hemos aprendido que la dignidad y la rebeldía no tienen que ver con las banderas, los idiomas, los tipos de cambio, las ....... A esos mundo diferentes les decimos desde aquí, desde las montañas del sureste mexicano que no están solos. Hermanos y hermanas, dejemos atrás el racismo y la exclusión, veamos un camino común que nos conduzca hacia la esperanza de una vida más humana. Para construir este mundo nuevo es necesidad importante quer todos los hombres y mujeres nos hacemos hijos de la rebeldía y la resistencia.
